  1. THESE ARE ONE-BID-BLIND BID AUCTIONS

    Extremely low bids below 50-90% (depends on item and our overstock) are ignored even if they post. If you do bid in an acceptable low-ball price range, you stand a better chance of winning rough cut gear (you finish) than high end gear (we finish) which usually goes for higher bids and is less likely to be in overstock.

    BUY NOW PRICING is any bid of 90% or higher that is in overstock. We review the bids periodically through the week and if you bid high enough and we have it in overstock, chances are good you'll win it at your Buy Now price.

  2. HOW DO YOU BID? Click the Auction Link Above. There is no complicated registration or any fees to bid.

  3. Scroll through various product codes on that page until you find one you want to bid on. Only items in that list are available for auction and bidding here. Each product's suggested retail price and shipping costs will display in the window below the item codes.

  4. Enter your email address and bid amount for the item you wish to purchase. This bid should be lower than the suggested retail price. Bids at or above the suggested retail price will be ignored.

  5. After your bid is posted, you will get a confirmation message on the following screen. In a month or sooner (depending on bidding activity for a particular item), winning bidders are notified.

  6. You have 5 days after a winner notification to send a money order or cashier's check to pay for your item. If you miss this deadline, the next bid in the line up will be considered by our staff. If it is a reasonable bid, they will have an opportunity to exercise their bid. If not, the bidding will remain open. We reserve the right to ignore bids that are far below the value of the suggested retail price, but suggest you take your best shot and bid what you feel is within your budget.

  7. WindGenZen does not accept credit cards or PayPal. However many of our dealers do and you can pay for your auction here through their websites. However paying by credit card will cost more than paying by money order or cashier's check. Dealers who accept PayPal payments for auctions here usually have a surcharge for using their merchant account for items not purchased from their own websites. This is to cover credit card fees they will be charged. Fees vary dealer to dealer.

  8. If you bid on multiple items or post multiple bids, any prior bids you made are erased. This is to prevent spamming the auctions and allows everyone a chance to purchase inexpensive equipment at prices they can afford and helps keep the prices low enough for true bargains to exist on this board. If you have a need for multiple items, we suggest you visit the www.WindPirates.com chatroom, forums and new and used gear boards where you can find wind gen and solar gear for sale from a variety of sources.

  9. At this auction, you are allowed 1 bid. If you bid on multiple items pr post multiple bids, any prior bids are erased. This is to prevent spamming the boards, allow everyone a chance to purchase inexpensive equipment at prices they can afford and helps keep the prices low enough for true bargains to exist on this board.

  10. After you have paid for items won at this auction, you are allowed multiple bids. That way your email and identity are confirmed and you can bid on as many items as you wish.

  11. Shipping is normally 1-3 days after your money order is deposited. If you pay by credit card through a dealer, they have to send the check to us before we send your gear to you and this can take time. Note: personal checks take 10 days to clear.

  12. The no-charge exchange policies, refund and return policies, 100% satisfaction guarantee policies are the same as the WindGenZen policies. Please visit the WindGenZen.com website to review those policies before bidding.

  13. If you want a custom carved airfoil to match your local wind conditions for max output you may be better off ordering from a dealer. These blades can take 3-5 weeks to make and coat and dealers are more likely to have one in stock for immediate shipping.

  14. If you placed a bid and never received notification chances are either your bid was too low or the auction never closed due to lack of interest. This happens frequently; people want a great bargain, but not enough bidders posted adequate bids to close an item. The solution is to raise the amount of your bid.

  15. If you are new to Wind Generators or require local support we suggest you visit the Dealer and Outlet page and locate an Outlet near you.

    While you would save something with auctioned equipment, or perhaps at the WindPirates Gear Board, the cost of shipping may actually mean you pay more than if you had purchased your equipment locally through one of our Outlets.

  16. Many of our Dealers have eBay Auctions running right now. You will often find better prices by purchasing locally than you will here at the shop. The gear here is usually overstock or "partially finished - off the rack."

  17. For the best price we suggest you post your best bid here and visit the WindPirates gear board, visit the Dealer Outlet page, and visit the eBay auctions. Based on your needs and budget, that is about as inexpensive as it gets.

  18. Privacy Notice we do not collect auction email addresses for spam or sending ads or notices. There are plenty of visitors here and we like our students who come all on their own. If you have a neighbor who could use a wind generator, be sure to have them drop by. Thank you.
